Buyer from Ukraine used Buy it Now to end the auction then lost his eBay account. I will re-list the camera. I had this problem when selling the 1Ds on eBay. I had to relist that one twice. It doesn't seem too cool selling high doller items on ebay, but I fail to see any viable alterative.

*giggles* sorry but I read the item location on the listing as "Moronville, Alabama".

Perhaps you should specify that you will only sell to bidders in the U.S.?

Actually he had a Texas listing, but wanted it shipped to the Ukraine. Probably one of those bogus ID theft things. He made a payment to Paypal that originally cleared, but later in the day was put on hold. Niether Paypal nor eBay ever bothered to notify me.

The viable alternative is Fred Miranda, a self-policing marketplace with a great bunch of folks.

for studio work you could get a MF digital camera... it'll run you about $30k. Some say the nikon D2X is an upgrade but i'd rather have your camera personally.

No, I need somthing portable and with a full frame sensor. The 1Ds Mark II is the only camera that will fit the bill.

Well... it is portable, just even larger in size. It's Bigger than Full Frame in terms of sensor so don't use the I need FF as a reason.

I've used MFd bodies on a few occasions... they are not "as" portable as an SLR and have a much narrower choice of lenses...also, there is the focus issue wich certainly makes the SLR more instant. I used the Leaf Valeo (22mp) and I was so impressed... but at 20K canadian... I'll keep on dreaming!
