I have been searching the forums and can't find the thread. Also searched eBay but must not be using right search term or there are none for sale and also must not be using right search term on google. I can't find woodies anywhere for sale. I have called all the local craft stores and stuff - no one has them. Can anyone point me to a site where I can buy a woody or two?

I bought mines at IKEA. Barnes and Nobles has a small one included in one of their drawing sets on the clearance tables.

No Ikea anywhere near here.
Posted above - the Michaels that was close to here (30 miles) closed.
Just got back from the closest Wal Mart, according to the English-as-second-language-person that I asked when I couldn't find them, she said they have "dis-ordered them so no more do they have space for them." There is another WalMart in the same plaze that Michaels used to be in. Perhaps I will drive there tonight and see.

ANY art store should have them.

...unless they have been dis-ordered. LOL

edit to add: I got a woody at a frame shop (Aaron Brothers). And the clerk didn't even question me about it. ;-)

I'm so excited...I got a Woody! None at the other Wal Fart either. Man that was a terrible experience. I knew there was a reason I didn't go to that store. Anyway, Barnes and Noble had them. Only one model though. I didn't realize it came in a kit like deal with all the art stuff. I will feel guilty now if i don't draw it at least once.

Be sure to post your drawing to prove you did one and for us to criticiz- I mean critique. ;-)

I went to WalMart yesterday. Everytime I go there I want to take pictures - I see the most eclectic assortment of characters in that place!

I will do it tomorrow probably - just get it out of the way. Right now it is standing on my computer table with its hand on a speaker...would make a great salesman I think.

I know exactly what you mean about Wal Mart. I rarely go into one...never have a need really. It was strange to go into two of them today. Eclectic - nice and appropriate choice of words...if not the polite choice.

Great link...I never associated these with drawing, hence my failure to find them in searches. I never looked in the right places or called them the right thing. But I have an account with Blick (for mounting/matting supplies) and this is perfect. Thx!
