Hi,

I was looking into buying an umbrella softbox, and I noticed that there are two different ideas. Both styles are made the same... and umbrella with the opening covered in fabric. However, with one, the shoot through part is the domed side, and the light is shot directly through the white fabric. On the other, the shoot through part was the flat side, and the light was bounced off the inside of the umbrella, and then it goes through the white diffusion. Anyway, I wondered if anyone had any experience with these. Which produces better results... the one that reflects first or the one that shoots straight through the white part. (I posted this in a different forum, but I think this should have been posted here)

Thanks,

Jen

I'm also curious about this. I'm looking to start buying a lighting setup.
