LowePro makes exceptionally nice bags. Here's a link to one matching your specs, I think. They have many others.

STEP 01: open browser, type www.google.com in address box
STEP 02: type crumpler bags in search area
STEP 03: type www.crumpler.com.au in address box
STEP 04: browse to your heart's contentment

Personally, I have used 3 crumpler bags. One is my trusty day bag for trips of up to a week. One is a photo backpack large enough for full-size laptop, cables, etc and 1 dslr body and 2 lenses. Another (which I just got about three weeks ago) is a photo sidebag (no laptop pouch) but big enough to hold my d20 and all lenses, with a bit of room to spare should I decide to get another lens/flash in the future.

The bags don't advertise "photo gear" and are durable.

Man -- what an annoying site. They seem so happy with the kindergarten flash animation they forget to say anything useful about the bags. A few photos of the interior of the bags or a few sample packings would do wonders for the site.

SERIOUSLY annoying site, no kidding... If they spent even half the effort on being informative that they have on being cute, they'd be a whole lot better off.

Been there, done that... That ain't the part I'm complaining about. It's how when you get down to where you feel at last you've earned some solid information, there's very little actually to be had. As compared with, say, LowPro's site...

Yeah, I agree that the site is perhaps on the "organic" and "crunchy" side, and perhaps could benefit from more technical information. The products, however, I'll swear by. My first crumpler is almost five years old, and it's a workhorse. Easy to clean, no loose stitching, etc. The camera bags are nicely padded and well designed. Anyway...I'm happy with mine...the website notwithstanding.

They DO Look like nice bags. I just wish I could SEE more of the bag to make an informed decision, ya know? Anyway, the OP was looking for a working photojournalism bag, and LowePro is the class of the market for this as far as I can see. I've used their products for years and they are exceptionally well-designed and sturdy.

That's a shame if their product is really good -- because without seeing it in person, I would never purchase a bag from a website that looks like it was made by a 9-year old.

My loewpro minitrekker AW on the other hand, I went to their site, looked around, compared features, looked at the interior layout, and dimensions, and decided to order one.

Thanks guys, the whole reason I asked was because when I went to the crumpler site it annoyed the hell out of me

Crumpler rely an awful lot on their entire organisation being seen as trendy and laid back and quirky and so on and hope that they will continue to gain sales because of it.

Trouble is, anything that is new and funky eventually becomes old hat and the young glitterati/ fashionistas move on to the next new thing.

I agree, if they want their site to be funky first and informative second, so be it but not to be informative at all?

A real turn off in my book.

Then again, I'm not looking for a new bag as I'm extremely happy with my various lowepros.

Did you notice the button on the lower left, that says 'Nards' and does nothing but throw s**t at the screen -- WTF???

I certainly hope their bags are a good as people say (I don't think I've heard one bad thing about the bags) -- because the unprofessional image the web-site presents is working against their great word-of-mouth advertisement. Seriously, the lack of information about the bags is bad enough -- but what if there is a problem, does that site give any confidence in their support department?

Maybe living upside down has all the blood rushing to their brain. :0
