maybe he's joining the Nikonian side... selling almost all his Canon gear :)

Yeah what's the reserve price? Some interest here specially since I wasn't able to get that coveted Dell deal a week ago :(

I can't tell you the reserve price :) - but I will give you a hint. It >15% off what I paid for the lens.

Actually, he's been commenting in an earlier thread that due to personal medical complications he can't hand-hold this lens and get a sharp image.

You guys are dreaming if you think he's gonna divulge his reserve so you can lowball him LOL. Typically, lens on e-bay, desirable ones, fetch nearly the full new price, and sometimes even more.

Robt.

Robert is correct in his statement. Nothing wrong with the lens, I just find it hard to hold still because of the weight sift toward the front and how I have to hold the camera.

I am planing on taking the money and investing in the Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di for Canon as a replacement for my kit lens.

Went through the local camera shop....had to pay a little more but that's okay...I thought I found it online awhile back at butterfly photo or something?

A local Store here in town has them as well. Wolfcamer (which we have two in town) don't sale Tamron. I just hope the local store has one left when I'm able to purchase it. I think it is one of the best lens in its range.

BTW Tamron has two new lens for digital on there website. I don't know who new they are but here are the links (6 year warranties):
Tamron SP A11-18mm
AF 18-200mm]AF18-200mm

it would be nice if there were a local store that sold camera equipment past point-and-shoot around me. the area where i live is called the triad, and it's made up of 3 cities (winston-salem, greensboro, and high point). we have over a million people and not one camera store other than your basic ritz stores. i'd have to go all the way to raleigh to find a good camera shop. it's a little nuts.

Yea we have to wolfcamera stores which is the same as ritz and there prices are to high on lens. At least here they are. Sounds like a good opportunity for someone to open local camera shop there. People love doing business with small camera stores that can provide great service, equipment, and knowledge.
