True.
Unfortunately, there are a bunch more dregs out there, and won't stop being dregs when we leave Iraq or Afganistan or the middle east is more settled. The hate indocrination that has been meshed into some young lives, will supply a continuing flow of replacements for the forseeable future. I support the effort to recognize the worlds current state as what it is. Infiltrated in each society are warriors cloaked in secret intentions to bring harm to civilians for the furthering of their warped sense of justice/justified jihad. I wish that those who believe that the catalyst for these "dregs" was the removal of Saddam, could explain all the terorists actions that preceeded Saddam's removal or have happened in countries that did not support the removal. The truth (imo) is that the Jihad was underway, planned, and forthcoming regardless of Saddam's removal.
To me, this jihadic world action is like a pimple. Before it is ever seen, it becomes sore, then red and raised, then it fills with puss and displays a white head. With enough "picking", one can hasten the process from red and raised to a white head, and this is what the Iraq invasion did. The pimple was there already. The dregs were already placed worldwide. The festering had already begun and soreness was ever present. The pimples were coming regardless. Some in the world just choose to pop 'em early, so the antiseptic could be applied and the healing begin sooner. But like with all pimples, just because you addressed one, doesn't mean that you won't get another. And some leave scars for life. It is a constant effort of cleansing, watching, addressing, and more cleansing. |
