Do we have anyone in Budapest?
I have a possible business trip in late September and was hoping someone might give me a few tips on where to go and what to photograph.

Not there at the moment, but went a few years back. The big main sights are the easiest - the Chain Bridge over the river is always a classic shooting area, as is the castle area on the high point of the Buda side. There's also the island (EDIT: margit island) just a short way north of the centre which has nice parklands ... oh, and there's also Hero's Square (on the metro line that goes past the Opera, istr), which has all the old communist statues still up. Other interesting places include St. Stephen's Basilica, and the Parliament building (modelled on Westminster, no less), but just wander around the streets in the old sections of the city and you're bound to stumble apon something interesting!

My wife is Hungarian. She was born there and moved to the states when she was 3 years old. She is fluent Hungarian and has been back to Hungry several times to visit family. She is sleeping right now but I will let her know about this post and have her give you some suggestions when she gets a chance.
