With a comment please...trying something different for me. I would welcome any comment, even if it's only about the weather..or Desperate Houswives, or ingrowing toenails...

The pic is nice, but a bit dark and too contrasty for me. On the other hand, I heard that on rainy days, lillypads are good for soaking your feet in to get rid of ingrown toenails - but maybe that's tjust a desparate housewive's tale. :)

I agree too contrasty, although there is something intriguing about the processing and content. i must say it gets an above average rating from me.

Hi amber. In my 2c opinion, I think the contrast is a little too much. Not really overall, but the washed out line between the dark bowl and the light deck keeps grabbing my attention like a hairy backed mid life crisis tourist grabs ass in a Taiwanese stripclub, while the beautifully soft unassuming virginal blossom sits in the corner.
Otherwise, Nice photo :)
I've actually heard that when desperate housewives discretely put two drops of rainwater caught in a lilypad in unwelcome guests' drinks on a sunny day, it gives said unwelcome guest ingrow toenails. But I really can't say..

LOL Marius;)
I know just what you mean - ever been to Pattaya in Thailand?
Thanks for the comment, you too Cutter;)
Is there something wrong with me because I like extreme contrast? Is it because I'm a desparate housewife:))

I like the contrast for the most part, but it's weird seeing lilypads that aren't in a pond. |

I think all us DPCers must have a sado-masochistic streak a mile wide - Opening yourself up to criticism week after week and dishing it too.
Worryingly, I'm beginning to enjoy the pain;)

Nope never been, But I'm sure to go when my hair migrates from my head to my back and I hit 50. It's inevitable really hehe.
Nothing wrong with you. Unless you have ingrown toenails on all twelve your toes. That would be freaky. But that has nothing to do with your love for contrast. Personaly I like contrast in the subject matter more. Like your desperate housewife series of photos.I like that a lot! Nice |

Nothing wrong with contrast. If I might make a suggestion, submit or upload to portfolio more photos of your home and country. I and we are surely interested in that. Share YOUR experience, as well as your idea, but your unique location can bring so much to our consciousness.

LOL Marius:)
My husband's company has a factory in Pattaya - how convienient for them. So he's over there at least three times a month. I've been a couple of times, and having been brought up a Catholic (lapsed now)it was an eye opener:))
I invented a game called 'Pattaya Bingo' - each card has several couple combninations on it...first to spot and cross out all their couple wins.
So you would have - one legged man over 70 with girl under 21
- 60 yr old man with patch with woman under 40
- man with oxygen mask and two girls...etc.

Kind of like a fetish really.
Imagine playing your bingo game with a camera. First person getting all the shots wins! On second thought, forget it. You'd never get those releases signed, but on the other hand it could be a great way to augment your income with a little extortion hihi.

Enjoyed your website amber. You're more of an artist than me, so I'll just say that your overdone contrast on the lilypad shot is getting the response you desired. You communicated "edginess" to a "T". More of a feather than a board, perhaps, but my take. |
