I just missed the deadline one the Tools challenge, so I thought I would go ahead and post the pic and see what you guys thought.

Left you this comment:
Would've been middle of the pack IMO. Not a bad shot, but the lighting is a little hard and might have been better in context instead of studio/white background.

I like the idea, but the photo isn't one that would really stand out to me.

Leaving my comment here:
It would be in the middle of the pack for a second reason: Probably a good 80% of all the entries are shots of tools, and only tools. They're identical to this shot, only they're different sets of tools, shot to varying technical degrees of excellence. But they're all tools.

My guess is the average voter is going to get to the 30th set of tools, no matter how well shot, and start handing out 5's to everything that's not a little out of the box.

I'll concur with that and add that the ones showing the tools in use / in context will score higher.
