My Prints

Just put your username at DPC Prints in the spot where mine says "rex" That should do it. And where I have put "My Prints" place there what you want the link to say such as "ClickNSee's Portfolio" and don't use quotes

I've had some trouble posting forum code in my Signature, and with my signature in general actually. I entered some stuff in the "Forum Signature" box in my preferences, but It doesnt seem to come up. unless it comes up here, which I guess I'll find out.

Edit: Turns out i'm kindof stupid and didnt check the "show signature" box. Thanks anyways!

Try this:

Quote me in a new message to see the code but I basically took out some extra img tags.

I don't know who wrote the excellent Forum Code Tutorial but I wonder if its possible to have the new [Thumb] code explained. The current code for inserting thunbnails is long and complex and hard to remember. I believe the new shortcut must have been written just for the site by Drew or Langdon and its pretty damned cool.

Currently to place a linked thumbnail
[url=//www.website.com/path/to/fullsize.jpg][img]//www.website.com/path/to/thumbnail.jpg[/img ][/url ]

New shortcut
[thumb]232863[/thumb ]

The spaces at the end of the closing tags is so the code will display rather than execute

I believe that code is for linking to images not hosted by dpchallenge (as shown by the url)

The thumb tags only work for dpchallenge images and there's even a shortcut for that, the last button on the right above the post box.

I am having a hard time putting an embedded photo or a thumbnail link in my signature. it just shows the link (for the thumbnail link) or part of the URL (for the emmbedded photo). Any idea what's going on?

You're using the url to the page that the photo is not, not to the photo itself. You'll want to use //images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/22543/orig/338184.jpg

Sticking that in the image tags should work.

You can quote my post and pull the code from that if you need to. Kinda big for a signature graphic, though.

You need to use forum code, not html.

Use the following instead (quote my post to get the code)

Custom Design Clothing

I don't know who runs this tutorial these days, but you could please add a section on using the [thumb] code or clicking the icon?

The whole section on creating a clickable thumb is outdated - it relies on combining the [img] and [url] tags.

It's not outdated. It's for posting offsite images.

I don't think it's solely for off-site images. One of the sections begins "If your photo is in your DPC Portfolio ..."

That's the section on embedding images in the forum, not the section on thumbnails. That section shouldn't even be there anymore since the forum rules state you shouldn't do that.

The part about thumbnails could be updated though to give the process for creating clickable thumbs from DPC images.
