I have Microsoft Digital Image and very very basic skills on it.Any comments would be much appreciated

For straight-out-of-the-camera that's REALLY nice. My opinion? Stick a fork in it; it's done. If I were photoshopping it I might consider selecting out the BG and blurring it a tad, but I don't know if that's an option for you nor am I sure it would be an improvement. Nice work!

Very nice! Robt is right, there is very little wrong with it. I would slightly adjust the levels. Make the dark parts a little more darker.

maybe a broad frame and a little tinch of darker background would enhance the picture.

As the great 'bear' said there is very little in general that you would want to do to this picture.

Thanks for the helpful comments. I would really like to get this printed and maybe blown up for my brother. He is not with Ryans Mum and he hardly sees him.I'm not up to some of the suggestions but could do BW or sepia or something . What do you think?

I would keep it in colors... Make a copy and play around in an editing software. You'll see, you won't need much! Try levels, brightness/contrast, maybe add just a bit of saturation... Go ahead, experiment, have fun!
