Last year I took portraits (pretty bad ones actually) at my unit's Marine Corps Ball, so I wasn't able to attend. Well, they want me to do it again this year, but my wife wants to go to the ball, so I can't. However, they offered to still pay me to use my equipment(flash, backdrop, etc...) and have me hire out a photographer and assistant to manage the orders. I would want you to use your own camera, but I would supply the CF cards.
There is no money involved in the orders at the ball because the pictures are included with the tickets.
The ball will be right around November 10th. Is there anyone seriously interested? This is for serious photographers only. I can't have a whole unit of angry Marines because someone doesn't show up. If you are interested let me know and I will break it down a little more. Ball photos are big business around these parts, so this could be a good in for someone.
