So I think I need to add a filter or 2 to the arsenal but don't really know what I should be looking for. I've heard circular polarizer a few times but am looking for some opinions on filters and some examples of outdoor shots with the filter in action.
These pics are from a recent tip up to the summit of Hidden Lake Peak and the Sahale Arm. Any other comments outside of the filter chat is welcome too.

Left a comment on the lake photo. Polarizing filters are definitely a must imo for these kind of shots. They make the sky a deeper blue and the clouds pop, when shooting at roughly 90 degrees from the sun...
I have an example of photos with and without polarizer somewhere, I'll try and find them now! |

Circular polarizing filter and Graduated ND (neutral density) filter are must have landscape filters.

Found it! Not the best of pics but they show the difference
No Polarizer
Polarizer:
and that's only a linear polarizer not as good as circular if I understand right |

thanks for the examples & comments...anyone have a preference on kinda of circular polarizer? I hit ebay and there are some for $15. I'm guessing filters are like like every other piece of glass though & you get what you pay for.
