I am sorry first off for asking this question cause its been answered so many times before.
Here is my problem When I open up a NEF file in photoshop I come up with a message that says "could not complete your request because an error occured loading the plugin" I have tried downloading the plug in from adobe but that doesn't work either (2.4 I believe) and if I rember correctly The D70 isn't on the list of cameras compatable but its the only one I can use cause the rest of the updates are for CS2.
Any suggestions would help

Your camera (or at least my D70) came with Nikon Picture Project. One option would be to use that to read and pre-process raw images. There are other raw converters available, just Google Raw Converter and you'll find them. Maybe one of those would work better for you.
When I was using PS CS, and PS 7 before that, I had to download a raw converter but it worked fine. I wonder if uninstalling PS and reinstalling it, then downloading and installing the pluggin would do the trick?
Are you sure you installed the pluggin in the directory where PS expects it? |

| i just downloaded a raw plug in(2.4) from the adobe site on a computer in the newsroom with CS (not cs2) on it and it worked fine. Make sure when you download the plug in that you take the old raw plug in file out of the plugs ins file formats folder, and drag the new plug file in its place. (plug in folder is under photoshop/plugins/fileformats) |

My NEF from my D70 work fine with the 2.4 ACR in CS.
One thing Peter forgot...be sure ;PS is not running r if so restart. (C:
