i just got an email from my dad, one of those OMG-pass-it-on things that i usually google up and send him the urban legend reports.
well, this one has a TRUE status at both urban legends and hoax slayer.
check it out here, and be careful the next time you go to withdraw some cash...

Something like that happened in Sweden a few years ago. Some ATMs at the time had completely flat "desks" (in lack of a better term) and a flat back wall. So it was easy to put on a fake front containing a laptop and a magnetic card reader.

I like using my wallet on the back of my hand to block off the keypad when I punch in my pin #.

I like to keep all of my money stored as Ramen noodles and camera equipment. That way even if they do make off with all of my financial assets, I'm only out $27.64.
