I know for sure I can get a 75-300 EF mount Tamron for $115 anytime I want, so I'm really looking to beat that deal. If you have the Tamron 75-300mm f4-5.6 or anything EF compatible for this zoom range (or slightly different, though not 100-300) for about $75-110.
I'm not looking for anything special - my step-son sort of inherited my DRebel and he's busting his chops for a zoom for the zoo and stuff and his birthday is coming up. It's going to be a 'spensive bday present either way, but maybe someone's got an old effective, but slow zoom lying around?
