A few weeks back I did my first paid job and sold a print of my 'skin' picture to the client as well.
As if I wasn't pumped up enough about that, today she called me up and wanted to buy another print of mine(a film shot). I quoted her $65 for a 10x15 and she was more than happy about it. Just excited and wanted to share. A real boost in confidence. I'm trying my best not to undercharge for my work, but honestly, I have no idea what most photographers charge for a similar sized print. So anyone that you do business with, treat em well so they keep coming back. I'm sittin' on cloud nine at the moment. Hope everyone has an awesome day :)

I have seen lesser quality prints go for 2 to 3 times more than what you are charging, unframed.

Thats what I was thinking but when you are saying it for the first couple times, anything more than 50 sounds like a lot to me. I'll do a little more next time :) |

Do you guys number your prints or give any certificate to nsure the owner of a "real " print and not a copy?
I'm planning in doind some artistic photo's prints to sell in a gallery and I was thinking in getting a registration form so I can follow every one of them and to ensure there's no fake copys on the market.

| I have sold so few that I haven't had to worry about it yet but I certainly thought about this. The first one I sold already framed with my signature which makes it pretty clear. I'm not sure what I should do with this one being unframed. Maybe, sign or number the back. Any suggestions? |

65 bucks for an 11x14 peice of art is way, way low. But I know what ya mean. Bump up the prices anyway; I won't sell a print for less than 125...

| Well, hind sight is 20-20. Next time I'll be sure to be charging no less than 100 and maybe more. Thanks Robert. |
