i took this this afternoon at my mother in laws and just got done playing with it in photoshop. i would love to know what you thought of it. i really didnt do much to it except a bit of contrast and completely color burned the whole background.Any opinion will be greatly appriciated and valued.

also just added a few self photos taken today while waiting for my hubby to come out of the court house. he was getting tags for our vehicle. good thing i had my trusty sidekick "minnie". she made the time go by a bit faster. look in the "me and my family" folder to see these.
edit:spelling.....where in the heck did that spell checker go???

Pretty good job. Nice colors, good realtionship to BG (edges not too harsh). Wonderful flower. I feel like the light doesn't really express it though; it's tantalizing me with surfaces that aren't modeled at all, I look at it and I want to see some texture and modeling.

What I mean is, the texture wasn't coming through. The sharpening helped a LOT; see the texture now? The shapes within the petals, the "hills and valleys", are more pronounced.
Be nice if you'd left the original version up so people could see what we are talkign about, and they can learn from what you do by comparing...

Maybe do what I do, and when you make significant changes save as "filename1", "filename2" etc. When it's all sorted out, just do some housekeeping and toss everything but the one you named "filenameFINAL".
