I may also have an oppertunity to ride on a float during the carabana parade next weekend. I'm just not sure its my type of thing. Should I go??? would you??? (without predjudice: white ppl tend to get hurt during these things)

EDIT:
This statement was not meant to be predjudice or racial in any way and I appoligize if I offended anyone.

i personaly would never be a part of anything that is known for any type of racism. if you were to be a part of this parade you might at least be viewed to condone such views and actions. just my honest opinion.

Actually all races are prone to violence during this parade but that has more to do with such a diverse/ethnic culture. At one time even cops were affraid to patrol the parade. However I can assure my safety and it would be part of a media float so its very unlikely anything would happen. I just thought it may be a unique experience to shoot a parade looking at the crowd instead of watching the parade.

Really wish I lived closer. Looks totally fascinating and something I would really enjoy. Whoever goes better post some good shots. Also, anyone going, got a P&S that will take movies? Would love to see and hear the activities.
