Quit being wusses...get your gear, get your camera carrying case, and get out and about this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're not even making plans of where we go -- we're just going. If it's nice, we will be outside -- if it's rainy, we will find somewhere inside.

WHO'S DOWN!?!?~?!?~!~?~?!~?!~?!~?!?~!?

Oh, you can make it, you just don't want to bad enough ;) Well, when you're in Pittsburgh, hit me up with a PM if you want to explore, as long as I'm free, I'll show you around.

I can maybe participate - keep it early and out my way sorta, and NO getting arrested. You see, i have to be at work at 3, and teh jail thing, well, we all know how that is.

I vote for downtown coraopolis or sewickely. One can be gritty, the other, well, ritzy maybe. An urban-ish walk about.

If it rains - the Neville Island sportsplex. Gotta be something gonna on there to shoot.

Is this a common occurrence on Pittsburgh DPC outings? Maybe somebody should be there to get the photo opportunity as you guys are being thrown in the back of a squad car ;P

lol I've never seen anyone get arrested on a photo outing...

ALTHOUGH PITTSBURGH IS SO LAME, NO ONE EVER WANTS TOO SHOOT ANYTHING ANYMORE so I don't have much experience in the subject.

A little bird once told me that group photography isn't always the best way (although it's interesting to see other people's pictures and realize that they were at the same spot as you, but captured different things) to explore your creative side. Getting pulled along by a bunch of others that have 'finished' with an area that you're still interested in isn't all too fun. Just a look at the bright side :)

It is fun to see what others see and you don't. It is also fun to BS and check out others equipment. And I find it fun to get out of the house and away from the kids for awhile!

Besides, if we don't do this i will be resealing my driveway.

Awesome...anyone else in? I recruited a friend of mine as well. I'm not sure what kind of camera he has, but I think it's one of those ones that takes a floppy disk (from what I understand).

Last time we went out it was kinda chilly, and I had only 2 lenses, and a wimpy flash.

Tonight on ebay i added to my arsenal - a Lumedyne flash head on a vivitar 283 body with a gel cel for juice. I used one like it at a wedding a week ago.

Filters are next on the list I think, then a bracket and cord ($125 for that pair, $135 + a circ pol for filters...) I gotta get a paying gig! Today i worked for free...a challenge - inside, outside sunny and cloudy...lotsa fun, and add in I had to NOT get face shots of the patients...but they wanted candid crowd shots. In a parking lot.
Some of the better ones...

Founder, VP, President and Thurman - oooh man, i got to eat too ;)

Where the heck is Coraopolis? Dude, this is a Pittsburgh get-together...not some-suburb-20-minutes-away-from-the-city get-together. I've been thinking about just going to a camera store and getting that Sigma tomorrow anyway. Heck, I might go to B&H -- are they open on Saturdays to the general public?

I am some 45 minutes to an hour to pittsburgh. If i'm a comin can we meet 1/2 way? You city folk are afraid to drive anywhere ;)

Take west carson to the Rocks, it becomes 51. take 51N thru the rocks, past neville island and you are in cory. it is right on the Ohio.

b&h is in NYC, about 8 hour drive from here. each way.

How do you plan on being a wedding photographer if a)you don't know where places are and b)won't drive there.

The wedding i assisted at was in evans city. about 45 miles each way from Beaver, and more from your place - take 79N a couple of exits past wexford. Figure if you are were their photog you'd make 3 or 4 trips there maybe.

Well, I know where 79 is...and there's always mapquest. I don't see a point in going to coraopolis to take pictures in the city of Pittsburgh, when I have to drive through the city of Pittsburgh to get there. Sorry.

Boys, boys, I'm gonna have to snap you each with a Terrible Towel!

I was going to see if anyone wanted to join me on the boat (Shenango Lake, Mercer County) today -- they have their Christmas in July today at the marina with decorated boats, fireworks, etc... but Chris has to work and deapee is afraid of leaving the city limits...!

Ummm..we wouldn't be taking pictures in the city. We'd be taking ictures in coraopolis. unless you have a REALLY long lens you haven't told us about.
