Does anybody know a good place to get a Canon DSLR cleaned in the Los Angeles area? Someone showed me how to check for dust on the sensor and now that I know the spots are there it's driving me crazy.
I don't want to leave it with someone for 2 to 3 weeks if they're just going to send it to Canon in Irvine and then markup their cost plus shipping to rip me off. I would like to leave it with someone that will actually do the work in-shop and finish within 3 days. Oh...and that person would have to be certified by Canon. Am I asking too much? Does such a person or camera shop actually exist?

It's really not that difficult to do it yourself. I clean my 10D all the time.

Canon's USA repair center is in Irvine if you want to let Canon do it.

Woodland Hills Camera off the 101 has the supplies - the Eclipse solution and pec pads. They were out of Eclipse the last time I went in (a couple of weeks ago), but I've been there several times over the last couple of years and they had the supplies you need in stock.
Removing dust specs is a continual process. You do need to learn to do it your self. It is easy

Are pec pads the same thing as Sensor Swabs ?
