Good leading lines of the tractor tracks though I feel more contrast is needed for them to stand out better. Also, without some puffy white clouds the sky is a bit boring even though the colour is quite pleasant. A slightly different perspective to show more of the field and less sky may work.

I like the picture, and agree on more contrast. Try increasing the saturation a good bit (i did +30 in PS) and the contrast a little bit (+8 in PS) The photo will have a lot more pop. If you live near this area you might think about going back there for the next couple days to see if you can capture a more dynamic sky but personally I feel this sky, or even one that is more uniform blue, is adequate for this image.
EDIT: I increased the brightness a bit too (+15)

Why did you take the pic down? Now you have a broken link in your first post.

Try selecting out the foreground and bumping up yellow saturation, possibly red and/or green, play with it. I don't think it's crying out for more contrast, it's a color issue for me. Also clone/crop out the bird-speck at very top?
Cool shot, nice and serene.

Having another subject (tractor, farmer, scarecrow, etc) would complete the picture. The viewers eyes follow the tracks but leads to nothing.

I like the edit much better. Glad you called it Wheat instead of Corn, however, below the pic you still call it corn. Whish we could change thread titles. |
