Wow... I wonder how long it takes to write the image to the CF card?

I thought this was a funny "oops" in the article:

The Value Added offer, for an additional US $3,000 provides..

ΓΆ€“ a 3 years warranty
ΓΆ€“ 24 hour replacement service
ΓΆ€“ Capture One Pro software (also supports a wide range of DSLRs)
ΓΆ€“ A 1MB CF card
ΓΆ€“ Free exchange of the back for another of the same type, but for a different camera model, within the first year
ΓΆ€“ free installation and training

I read that too -- thought it was funny.

i sure hope that was a typo, i hope they meant a 1TB CF card :)

Sounds like complete overkill. Also I hope it transfers very fast directly to a computer... using CF cards with this would be a joke.

These are mostly used when directly plugged into a computer aren't they? Not really the portable things in the world :P

everything is nice but the sync speed will probobly be like 1/100th of a sec
that would be a rip off

How often in a studio would you need more than that? Almost never.

What if you want to do those studio shots with people jumping etc stuff like that? youd have to have it be like completely dark so its just the strobes that light the scene, if any ambient leaked in at 1/100 you might have some problems no?

most light in a studio setting won't affect the strobes at all.

The sync speed is NOT dependent on the Digital Back or Film back. It depends on the Camera.

Rarely (if ever) are studio camera's run via CF cards... since there is a need to proof. in general people use Wifi in the studio (I'm really enjoying this) but for files that are 39MP...I assume that teatered is the only way to go.
