Okay, I'll give you my thoughts (There aren't a lot of them)...
First the bad news...It's slightly crooked and the "Ford" could use some light on it. I don't care for the background either.
The nuetral news...I would have loved to have seen a yellow turn signal light on with keeping the rest of the picture B&W.
The good news...It's a nice and clear picture. I'm not sure if it's actually noise or just the texture of the truck showing through, but I like it.
Overall, there isn't anything to really draw the eye. I've looked at your portfolio and I know you can take some great pictures, just this one leaves me wanting something more.
But what do I know. I've only entered five challenges since I joined in February and I'm just an amature photographer wannabe. Take whatever I say with a couple grains of salt, as I don't really know what I'm talking about most of the time. |

Thanks. I appreciate what you have to say...whether you're are "just an amateur photographer wannabe" (in your own words heh) or not. Remember, you don't have to be a top-notch, professional photographer to spot a good photo -- or point out what it is you don't like about it.

Here is my stream of thought if you will...
Why did you take the picture?,It is crooked, I like the metalic paint showing in the (de)saturation? you've done, the DOF is too shallow as to blur beyond recognition what is in front of truck and this could have been used to your advantage, I first thoght "product shot" but a smaller aperture could have juxtaposed something complementary to the truck, like a job site, farm , etc. I would like the shot...more if it were cropped differently and maybe taken from a higher elevation to peek over the tailgate

This is what I think would make it look better. what do you think?
I changed the composition slightly by leveling. Added blinker color and blurred the background. Slightly darkened. But of course this is just my opinion.

The turn signal flashes red...it's just the brake light, but brighter. heh...but thanks...it does look much better straight. Sometimes I forget the little things.

True, but it's the truth. I am a wannabe. One day I'll be able to call myself a good photographer. |
