From someone who has been here at DPC since late May, and who has been afraid of entering, because of some comments I've seen, I'll give my opinion.
I plan on entering soon, but not because I necessarily want a ribbon. That was never my intention when coming here. It was, and still is, to try and learn to be a better photographer, and that includes the good and the bad. I just keep reminding myself that I have to enter in order to keep membership, so will jump off the proverbial plank soon. And hope for the best.
So, untuck your skirt from your knickers, and be ever so thankful that you had knickers on. ;) Then go to portfolio of photographer that you think is good, and try to learn from them. That's what I have been doing. Please don't pull your image, someone else, like me(!), may be able to learn from it.

Well, I thought I could. When I became site member, I could have sworn that there was something in the agreement that stated I had to enter so many challenges. But, I can't find it, so I am probably thinking of the wrong site.

So amber, did you picture do ok? Was it the one in the Circle challenge, or still out ther? I left you comments on your circle.
Good job, glad you stuck it out.
Was curious about how you felt with the results and about leaving it in.

Sent you a PM. No Circle was a breeze, a walk in the park, in comparison:) Family, now there's a challenge I wished I'd stayed out of...I heard that nagging voice...but did I listen? Deaf as a door-post me. I'm in a zen sort of space at the moment where the voters can't touch me....the wonders of modern medication.... |
