I've had my '98 Accord up to 180 km/h (short burst of course). No picture since I had both hands on the wheel and eyes front. ;)
My previous car was an '86 CRX which I had up to 190.
This was pre-digital anyway (for me).

Some of these speedo shots are normal speeds on AZ freeways. I do 75-80 on the freeway stage of my trip to work in the morning and I get passed and tailgated! Note 5:30am and the speed limit is 65.
Many freeways here have 75mph speed limits where driving 90 is pretty common.

It's not so much that we have a photo of a true "Speedo" that bother me, but rather that it was apparently full of "person" that seems to have otherwise been edited out.
It's not so much that I'm posting in the forums, but that I'm actually participating in this thread.... |

The only problem with getting photographs like that is that it gives you an oppurtunity to take photographs like this...

Maybe not 140, but 115 on the long, level, flat Interstate 8 in Arizona.
(Not that I would EVER do that to my 260,000 mile 1986 Camry or would have any knowledge of anyone ever doing that...) |
I can believe that speed. I don't know of anyone in New York on I-87, above the toll booths, going ~110 downhill for a little while. Funny thing about that speed is how slow a (very) ticketable 80 feels afterwards. Not that I know what that feels like.
