It's a 93 Ford Ranger. THe battery guage sticks - you have to pound on the dash real hard to unstick it and then when you turn the key off, it springs to the left and sticks there again.
I dunno what's up with the temperature guage - it never get's hotter than that.

Well, this was going down a pretty steep, straight hill in long canyon and I likely let off on the gas when I snapped the pic.
What, nobody else takes pics of their speedometer? I knew I should've gone with the speedo shots! Thanks, Puzzled, for posting that and DOUBLE-thanks for not posting one being worn. :P

Thanks for that, Steve. My sister had a 71 Dodge Dart - I think it was the same car as a scamp. |

Taken some years ago with a Fujifilm 1700mx. Car was a Jaguar XJS 3.6. And for any law enforcement official watching, this was not taken at about 11pm on the M25 in Essex England whilst racing a Porsche Boxster.
And yes, you could actually see the fuel gauge moving slightly as this beast burnt more fuel than a space-shuttle..

I read this thread a while ago and wanted to post this shot:
Not as exciting as pegging the speedo (like a Camry could even hit 140) but fun to plan for.

Those Rangers (and most pickups) have a REALLY heavy-duty cooling system, so they never work up a sweat unless they are hauling a serious load. I drive my neighbor's allt he time, have noticed the same thing.

Darn! Had me going and I'm sure a few more of us gals! That speedo is OK but I'd rather see something in them, attached to some awesome abs!

Maybe not 140, but 115 on the long, level, flat Interstate 8 in Arizona.
(Not that I would EVER do that to my 260,000 mile 1986 Camry or would have any knowledge of anyone ever doing that...) |

It's not so much that people are driving at those speed (albeit, perhaps for a short burst) but that you were operating the vehicle with one hand and zero eyes!
It's not so much that we have a photo of a true "Speedo" that bother me, but rather that it was apparently full of "person" that seems to have otherwise been edited out.
It's not so much that I'm posting in the forums, but that I'm actually participating in this thread....
