Even though I can see the RAW files using the EOS Viewer Utility I am unable to retrieve them. All the options other then delete images remain grey(unselectable). Plus the camera just keeps flashing busy.
Any ideas on how to get them off? |

What I do is first get the hard drive directory I want to put the pics in visible on the left. Then go to the 20D and get the pics visible in the viewer window then select all images and drag them to the directory I want them in. This doesn't remove them from the card, just copies them to the directory on the HD. |

The pictures are not visible when using explorer. So I can not select them. Although I can see them with the EOS viewer.

You can click anything to move them..you have to drag/drop to the folder/drive where you want them.

They're talking about using the EOS Viewer to drag and drop the raw files into a folder on the left of the EOS Viewer screen. Ya, in Explorer they're not visible. |

Microsoft has released a tool to view RAW images in Windows XP just like you view JPG's. It's called the "Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP" (microsoft raw is enough to Google it). I have installed it but have not yet worked with it. Sounds like a good tool, though, and might fix your problems. |

OKay, the camera has to be set to P2P instead of normal. The EOS viewer drag and drop did not work. I have downloaded the update, so maybe it will fix it. Anyway, you need to activate P2P. No idea why, but there you go. Another problem is if you take a RAW+JPG, you end up with two JPG of the same photo. Not a RAW JPG. |
