These babies are so hard to photograph. Any tips and comments for this image? Thank you so much.

In order to generate effective feedback, you should include the lens you used, as well as the specifics of the shutter speed, aperture and ISO and any other relevant camera settings (auto or manual focus, etc.)

OK, looking at the specifics for the shot, it looks like the settings are OK, though f/5.6 might be a tad small on aperture to get the light you need in this environment. I've actually shot this same exhibit; I don't have any shots currently on line from that shoot, but I shot it with the 50/1.4 and used, I think, f/2.8 for most of the existing light stuff I shot.
One question: were you shooting right up against the glass? If not, the glass tends to impart some nasty distortion that makes everything appear to have color fringes (it's like chromatic abberation in a lens, actually). Try shooting right up to the glass (makes it harder to frame the way you want, tho...).
