Is this a bumper car bug or what. I have never seen a bug like this..

| Looks like a type of clickbug, but never seen one look like this one. |

Cool beetle! I've seen those on the insect sites, but can't remember what it is. Do you still have it? I'd put it in a baggie full of alcol to preserve it.
Check out Bugguide.net they have a good ID forum.
