please stop all the whining.
- whining when you don;'t get comments, then whinign when you get them but don't like what you received.
- whining when you don't like the challenge, and whining when you like the challange but no one else interprets it the saem as you do
-whining because there are too many entries
enough already!
I have given more comments than I have received....that's okay as I am learning from teaching myself to be a better critiquer
I loved my frog face on the bright red background for Macro and thought it should have scored an 8....got a 4.8...that's okay. I still love the shot and learned from those who did leave comments - and mostly negative.
I interpreted the current family challenge one way - others obviously do not agree as my scores reflect but that's okay...hopefully I'll get comments to help me learn what I could have done better...if not oh well. I can learn by reviewing what placed well here at the end of the challenge.
Yep, 512 is a lot of entries, but that's okay as it gives me more perspectives to view and learn from. Just takes me longer to review them, and if I don't have enough time I can skip some.
You have the power to make this an enjoyable sight for yourself, or to keep whining. If you choose the later, maybe you should just stop coming here as it is not healthy for you to get yourself so wound up over this. I hope instead, you can learn to say "that's okay" and learn from the others here, and mostly enjoy being here.

Not only a great lesson that can be applied here but to life in general. I'm not saying don't care about anything, just there are some people out there that aren't happy in less they are whining about something.

lol, louddog.. that's the real trick, isn't it? Even pointing out something is considered whining 'round these parts.
It's a real balance between simply whining, and seriously trying to get your point across and bring a more positive outlook to a place you feel strongly about.

sorry if you took it this way - but that's okay as it is your perception.
This post was made as a suggestion or request of sorts. If it helps just one person learn to enjoy rather than be miserable then it was worth posting

Whining about whining is ok only if you do it under the influence of wine...lots of wine.
Anyone got some Gouda or Edam cheese? |

Thank you. I've been trying to figure out how to say this without being a b**ch, and you've managed to convey what I was feeling without sounding like one.
Thank you.

Does anyone have favorite wine?

red!
OK I will be a little more specific although after the first three glasses I don't care much!
Chilean Merlot
French claret
No spanish or Italian springs to mind
some SAfrican and Australian
WARNING Don't touch the Greek Domestica!!! We have a toilet cleaner in UK called Domestos and this wine tastes the same ( takes out the back of your throat - but then again after a few glasses, who care???!!!)
:)
sings "Red, red, whine!" |

You obviously haven't been to a good British student party!!!
(No don't try this at home, children, it just smells like it and how I imagine it would taste [poetic licence]!)

I can't believe that a person who has a legitimate gripe that makes sense gets jumped all over and belittled. Good point Shutterpug: If you want more comments, don't whine when everybody says your horrible "Gadfly on a pole" or "portrait of Charlie our pet irish lap-schnauzer" sucks.

Do you really want to remove this elixir of personal dissastifaction?
There are people who are not just happy and they seek to be offended. They are never happy with what is before them and so they carp and complain. Nothing is ever just right nor is their viewpoint rgar broad to encompass the whole.
We have our share here. But their life is based around expressing dissatisfaction in everything. They do it at home, in school and at work. They just can not find life outside of their world. This is the way they interact.
Go easy on them. You will drive them to depression if you come down to heavy on them. They have been to stop their ways by their parents, their family and their friends. This is their reality and they cherish it. To them, this is what makes them different. They are also very entertaining to those that express more common sense.

Well, I'm bummed I have the wine (Austrailian white - Banrock) and cheese and nothing to whine about Sorry stuck with Old cheddar . . .except Shutterbug better get use to forums . . . got to agree making a point or observation many a time gets called whining -
Hey Shutterbug - see your a newbie - stop already! we always have something to say about something - ya better get use to it - that's kinda the nature of the beast. Don't mean to sound abrupt, but I've just had 2 glasses of white and read a really silly comment regarding my Family entry. Luckily they've got a bag over their head so I can't see their face LOL;-)
Hi Alienyst! I guess I should straighten up LOL Thanks for the comment on cemetary - glad you have a sense of humor. All the best! Luv lyta |

Joel Gott Zinfandel is delicious. There's another Zinf that I can't find locally called Crauford Vineyards that's out of this world.
Since it's getting hot in the northern hemisphere a nice tangy Italian white called Fiano Di Avellino might work well in the heat.
