... and all over Wasaga Beach.
I'd like to hear some comments on what I did on the weekend!

Love the first one, the next two are nice, I would like to see "Pedros" in color, "new threads" and "forgetting" are a little dark, but interesting. I know you know you're good, Joey! :)

I like the processing you did on the 'dark ones' - could you tell me what you did?

I desaturated them, did lots of dodging and burning, adjusted contrast up very high and then a very large unsharp mask to get that neat effect. I also added that sepia tone with the color balance. A little bit of grain was also added for atmosphere.
Edit: Oh jaa, I also forgot. I made a seperate layer and darkened. Then I used the eraser brush to paint back the people. This brought more attention to them.

Yup. Actually, I noticed it yesterday, I think it was, but didn't think I should be so annoying as to actually PM you just to gloat over the fact that I'd been quoted. :)
Now that I've been officially quoted, I feel ...eloquent or something. lol Watch out everyone, I'll start using 10 syllable words pretty soon. ;p
Interesting editing details, too. I think I might have to steal some of those sometime soon. :) Do you use PS or PSP? 'Cuz the only grain I can add in PSP looks totally fake, but your grain looks very nice and authentic. Hm. Maybe I should use PS more often, like maybe figure out what it does, at least. |

I use Adobe Photoshop 6.0
A trick with the grain is just to apply it on a seperate layer and then use a somewhat transparent eraser brush on some areas of the photo, this will make it look uneven and like real grain. |
