I remember seeing something like this technique done before (my attempt shown below). I was wanting to try my hand at it on a few of my son's pictures. Only thing is, I can't remember enough about what it looked like in order to improve upon this attempt.

Can someone please post other examples of this technique?

Somewhere I have a page with something like 25 other links to "Outside the Frame" technique. When I locate it, I'll post it here for you.

Thank You!!!

I took this about 3 hours before the Sports Challenge began. Was looking for something fun to do with it since it was Spencer's last game of the season.

I don't have anything for the challenge but I do have something my son will enjoy -- Thanks!

this is a job well done. it does look great. I like that you did it with your son and not something nature. I have seen this way overdone with nature pictures

Very nice Debi! I like the action in your son's picture.

Wow... did you take a look at that last URL with the worth1000.com links on it? There are some astounding pictures on that site!

Saw it! There are some amazing things there. Made my little photo seem very simple.

I'm at work so I don't have access to my photos right now but I did an out-of-frame type shot of a friends pug once. What is funny is that I had no idea what I was doing, but ended up with good results - only to not know how to repeat the process due to not writing down my steps.
I'll definitely be checking out the links as I like the effect.

Here's a LINK which takes you through the steps for a similar process. The results are somewhat different, but the basic idea is the same.

while this is a real crappy small file on my laptop, it is still one of my favorite pics of my daughter when she was just 4 yrs old (she is now 18). I used the tut that about image posted....what do you think?
I think now I have to re-scan the original at a larger size and do this on a better copy.
