You have nothing to lose...

A few years ago, you had a crappy camera, took shots and liked them then,
but with better equipment and software, now you go back and think - UGH!

With more experience in your software editing skills, more tools in your
Photoshop actions, go back to some of your old shots and see what you can
do with them now!

I'm in the process of taking some of my old Sonly Mavica shots and playing
with them, and finding a whole new world - especially those family kind
of snapshots you never wanted to toss, but were never of a good enough
quality to proudly display/share.

It's also a great way to spend a rainy day or have a project when bored.

(some are recent shots in there too)

This was taken with my old Vivicam 3315.

A great idea, Brad! My first digital was a Kodak DC-40 in 1996 and I took tons of pics with it. I will see what I can do - but it's not raining now (amazingly), so I gotta go get some yard work done.

By the way, you have some great looking kids! Did you have them get a paternity test? Bwahahaha! Just kidd'n. I should look so good at your age. :P

I thought about it, but after seeing this

I knew they could only be mine.

(no idea where they get it from though)

They're yours. No question. :)

Ok, I found one of the very first pics I took with my DC-40 in May 1996:

I'll spruce it up later today...

edit: Just realized that as I am posting this, I am sitting in that same spot where my son is in the picture. Makes me feel old and stationary. :(

Good idea - I was actually looking through the B&W prints I have from my photography class in high school and was thinking of doing this. Odd timing that you posted this thread probably about the same time that I was considering it. I think have the scanned negatives around here somewhere, so may give it a try.

Err.. that is - if I can process the negatives. Anyone have any idea how to go about this? It's so long ago, I can't even remember where they are.. but I'm sure they're here somewhere.
