do you know any cheap wide angle lens (12-24) in the market? my idea is arounf the price range of $200. hope to hear from you guys.

I only know of three; the Nikon, Sigma and the Tokina. Cost is $900, $700 and $500 respectively.

You won't find any wide angle zooms in your price range.
I'd recommend either the Zenitar 16mm fisheye or the Peleng 8mm fisheye.
Both are made in the old Soviet Block countries and use manual focus. You also have to defish them if you want it to look like a regular picture. But it's about $150 for the Zenitar and $200 for the Peleng.

thanks for the input guys. i guess i just have to save up more dough to get a decent wide angle lens for my D70. i'll probably check the 2nd hand corner in the store. thanks again for the inputs. |

Sigma is coming out with a 10-20 zoom that's under $500. Still not in your budget, but less than the other and wider too. If you aren't planning to go to a larger sensor camera, it should be just fine.
