Wondering if anyone else is using the Sigma 28-105mm Aspherical 1:2.8-4 lens with their Canon 300D......I like mine except that it will not let me take my aperature down to 2.8. The smallest aperature I can get is 3.2 and I'm not sure if it is a compatibility problem, a lens defect, or what.

that's because it's a variable zoom and the 2.8 only works at the very widest part of it's zoom.
