Very sad to hear you've decided to cancel your visit to my city, though I do understand.
Hope you can arrange a visit to London sometime soon.

Unusually I'm working from home today up in North London, so not in the city.
It's not CRAZY but many people are finding it hard to get around, to get home. Lots of people walking or staying over with friends who live more centrally than they do.
I imagine the areas immediately near the explosions are still affected but London is a huge city so much of it will be fine but affected by lack of transporation.

Maui's great! Here's the formula I recommend:
Dive Sunscreen Dive Sunscreen Snorkel Sunscreen Eat Drink Sleep
Lather Rinse Repeat |

Sorry to hear that you had to redefine your trip. I would still be going to London. What are the odds of something like this happening now that it has already happened? Terrorists rarely strike the same spot in quick succession.

just got back from my honeymoon in Maui ... i'm pretty sure it's impossible to have a bad time :)
pictures (mostly snapshotish in nature)
Rent snorkeling equipment for the week ... very cheap and probably the best thing you'll do. North of Kaanapali is a pull off (some nature preserve) - it's 2 coves, one is beach, one is rock (second one) - go to the rock beach and snorkel in that cove - sea turtles, dolphins, huge fish, schools of fish - words can't describe this place. |

Maui is a little more expensive but we rented a 1 bedroom condo close to a beach which was more relaxing than staying at a hotel. Unless you don't want to cook. //www.hawaii-aloha.com/html/kameole_sands.html

Maui was one of my better vacations in my life. A lot to see, many beautiful beaches, (not talking about Ka'anapali here, but about other, lesser known places you just need to find for yourself).
Places to go shoot:
- haleakala crater, early morning
- nakalele blowhole, when the surf is high
- lahaina at night
- hana highway - take a whole day trip and just get out of the car every few miles, and enjoy waterfalls and hidden intact beaches such as red sand beach (the most beautiful to me), black sand beach, etc.
If you need suggestion on where to stay, PM me and I'll recommend you a place where I stayed.

Definitely visit Lahaina...very cool HUGE banyan (sp?) tree there...and the Hana tour. We went there last year and stayed at the Grand Wailea....awesome resort! If you decide to stay there they have like a little mini mall built into the resort and if you walk outside on a trail you can walk over to a full size mall. *sigh* I want to go back....after you go there and come back you will have Maui withdrawals!
edit: just read rest of post...yup...don't forget to do a Luau! Very cool!
