Okay, Baseball season is over for my son's team. They won the City Championships this year.
Over the season, I took over 2500 shots while they played. I promised each of their parents a CD of some of the photos I have taken. That is the easy part! But I was thinking I could also include a slideshow. Does anyone know of any really cheap (read free) SW that will create a slideshow file?
Anyone got any tips or tricks while creating the CD?
All help appreciated!

Depends on what kind of slideshow you want.
If you have Microsoft PowerPoint you could use that. or you can DL Microsofts MovieMaker and then you could add music to it. |

Nero has slideshow software. My copy came with my DVD burner. It's not free otherwise but it may be worth going thru all the bundled software you have.

My brother uses //www.slideshowpro.net/. I've never used it myself, so I'm not really sure if it's only web-based or if you could use it for a CD. But either way, he seems happy with it, so I thought I'd share. :o) |

Thanks for all the tips! I think with powerpoint, it wouldn't work in a DVD player or if the person didn't have PP. Also, my PP skills are really much much worse than my photoshop ones. :)
Moviemaker sounds cool - I'll check that out
I completely forgot to check the SW I have - wonder what came with my camera? Good thinking - Nero is expensive!
On my way to slideshowpro....
Thanks again all! |

Yeah, PPT wouldn't work in a DVD player. However, Movie Maker should work. I haven't tried it, but i'm thinking it should. |
