I had the idea for this photo on Sunday but I was to busy until today to shoot it. I would like to know what you think of it.
I would do some spot editing but the challenge was a basic challenge.

cool shot but prolly woulda gotten killed in the voting.

i have to agree the shot is great but the cicle aspect is lacking....i'm sure the idea will come to good use in the near future

Personally, I would have probably mentioned that the pencils look freshly sharpened, but you didn't take the time to wipe away the debris, especially from the red one. That makes the shot look a bit sloppy. Also that the light is very bright causing very harsh shadows, a softer light would have also kept the colors clearer. I do like the composition and the colors on white is a nice choice. I think with a few minor adjustments, you could make an excellent image from this idea.

Agree with idnic. Blow some air to remove dust. Did you use flash as main light source?

Thanks for your responses. I didn't see the messy tips until I got the photo onto my computer for editing. By that time I had put everything away. I did use my flash as the light source due to limited lighting available. I think I will reshoot this later and add it to my portfolio.

| Nice color and focus (I would have gotten rid of the fuzz on yellow and green and red). A little bright. But - where is the circle? |
