| alright so i just found out im taking a 5 day trip to england in a couple days. Wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions of what I can't miss photography wise. I believe we're seeing stonehenge and the city of Bath, as well as the city of London. Any good suggestions? |

| Sooo much too see in such a short amount of time... it would be easier to advise if I knew what in particular you like to see/take photos of. |

I would add for London views:
London Eye & Westminster area.
Tower Bridge and/or Monument. (good restaurants to the South East of Tower Bridge on the river front - with great views of Tower Bridge).
Top floor of Tate Modern for views of St Pauls (nice food in restaurant there too).
Far too much other stuff to do in 5 days. What kind of thing are you wanting to see? Bath/London/Stonehenge implies an interest in sights/history. What about one of the castles (Leeds castle is pretty, and not too far from London in Kent). Canterbury has a pleasant medieval area and one of the best Cathedrals in the world, and is quite close to Leeds castle.

Maybe a day out in Brighton by the seaside (just in case your visit manages to coincide with the 2 days of the English Summer) - see the Royal Pavilion, shop in the Lanes, walk along the pebble beach and eat fish & chips out of newspaper.

| thanks a lot everyone, all your suggestions helped. For those who asked what Im interested in...i guess the answer would be architecture mostly. But all of these suggestions helped a lot, thanks! |

If you like architecture, some suggested sites and approximate periods when they were built (from memory mostly - so do not rely on dates, nor this being comprehensive!) in case you are interested in one era more than another.
I have starred what I think are some of the more interesting ones.
2000s:
*Gherkin (Swiss Re Tower), City,
*London Eye, Westminster (south side of river)
*Millennium Bridge, next to St Pauls
*Central Court of the British Museum
Millennium Dome (nothing inside to see now!)
1990s:
*Lloyds building, City (next to Gherkin)
Canary Wharf and surrounding area (through to present)
1980s:
*NatWest Tower (now Tower 42), City, have to prebook to go to champagne bar on top floor
1960s:
Barbican Centre, City,
South Bank area, south of Westminster on South Bank.
London Bridge
*Tate Modern/Bankside Power Station, next to Millennium bridge, opposite St Pauls
1900s:
Express Papers, Fleet Street
Unilever, Farringdon Road (next to Thames on North side)
19th Century:
*Tower Bridge
Royal Courts of Justice, Strand
Prudential Building, High Holborn
*The Underground network
Royal Albert Hall & Albert Memorial, (& Royal Parks)
*Museums (Science, Natural History, Victoria & Albert)
*Trafalgar Square, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery
18th Century
*Houses of Parliament, Westminster
Interior of Bank of England Museum (Soanes interior restored)
Sir John Soanes Museum (Lincolns Inn Fields)
Whitehall
17th Century
*St Pauls
*Lincolns Inn
Area around Bank, City (some, such as Royal Exchange, restored later)
Large parts on West End, Bloomsbury, Covent Garden
The Monument
*Wren churches, thoroughout City
*British Museum
16th C & earlier
very little survives from Europe's biggest medieval city because of the subsequent Great Fire of 1666.
The Globe (reconstructed) - 16th C
Guildhall 15th C, reconstructed in 17th C (plus underneath there are the relatively uninteresting remains of a Roman Amphitheatre, which can be viewed)
The Great Hall at the Houses of Parliament (11th C)
*Westminster Abbey (7th C onwards)
*The Tower of London and the White Tower (1st C, mostly reconstructed in 11th C and later)
