I have just come across this site:

which executes an idea that I've thought would be interesting to look at. They choose locations (this is in England) where they have people go to a certain location and take pictures and share them all as part of one project. It's interesting to see how people may see things different.

Moreso, I think it's interesting when we do this ourselves. When I went out with the LA DPC group, it was very interesting to see what and how others were capturing their photographs. I think it can be a great learning experience, and would encourage those in vicinity of the locations for The Way We See It to look through and possibly participate. And for those of us who are not, to get together with your local DPC or camera club.

Granted, photography is often an individual thing and it can be a pain to be be pushed along by others - but if you can form a more independent-style session/gathering, it could be well worth it.
