I decided to clean the glass on top of my sensor. Here's why:

Geez, that's filthy. Don't let your mother see it or she'll pour a bucket of clorox on it and bye-bye camera...

It was OK until I took this picture last month.

Then I started noticing strange shadows in my photos like the one you pointed out.
