Woooooohooooo!!! I cashed an entire paycheck and then some to get the D70 today and I'm itchin' to get out and take some pics. I heard somewhere about a firmware update but when I went to the site I didn't see what I was supposed to be downloading. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

One more thing, is it safe to use a manual quantaray flash. It will fire when I take the picture I just don't want fry anything in the electronics.

you might wanna get the wein safe sync for the flash just in case, they are like 60 bucks though. but i use that for my manual flashes, its good too cuz it raises the flash a little higher up too but yea, just go to bhphotovideo.com and search wein safe sync hot shoe mount.

Awesome! Just got mine last week as well. Just went out today and picked up a UV filter and a spare battery just incase (even though I read about how great the battery life is)...that's why I got it. Because I know I'm going to go out on a few shoots, come back and wonder if it's still good so I wont charge it, then I go out and it'll die on the first shot. No problem, pull the new one out :D
