Shuttle is a brand of motherboards and Popular PCs that look like This often.

Hold on before you start jerking parts out of the box...give us a little more history...

How old is your PC and Monitor?
Have you added any Hardware yourself recently?
What Windows are you running? 98, ME, 2000 or XP.
You believe it to be the Card Reader did it ever work without a CF in it?

Nope it is not a shuttle pc...
Nope hardware was added since the computer is still sealed..
I use windows xp.
Yes it always worked without any cf card, when i used the cf card on it the computer flipped out...
I have formatted the computer to see if it was some software problem but nope it continued...
It's funny the computer has been holding on now...
I am at it at the moment...
I guess it is getting scare of all your knowledge... :)
But in case it happens again, just keep on think! :)

Do this one for me...

Click the Start button and choose Run...
Type in MSINFO32 and press enter (or click OK)

On the first screen on the right side

What does it say for System Manufacturer and System Model?

But it has always been connected to the same plug...
I have to confess that the computer is plugged in a triple plug and the triple plug is conect to a 5 plug and finally it is plug to the house plug...
Is this a problem?

Go plug it into a different plug by itself..if it still does it it maybe the power supply...
I dont know the wiring of your house to determine if its the wiring you are using now .. but changing the computer to a different circuit may help
See if you have a friend who has a spare power supply that you can test your computer with

That is a somewhat new computer as it is an AMD64 754 Socket, kind of weird (could be a cross country thing) but is a Special Edition ASUS K8V (known as Targa edition), Quite nice mobo actually...It has the VIA K8T800 chipset with a 800Mhz FSB.

You should have got a system CD with the computer that has a program on it called ASUS Probe (if not it is downloadable). If you install and run that it will tell us all temps/and voltages of CPU and will also tell us the speed of the fans. If you leave it running it will monitor your temps and voltages...

I have ran across two other instances on the net now that after a year that model seems to heat up (not uncommon to a lot of mobos) but neither told of their fixes.

Let me know if you need the link to grab the ASUS Probe utility.

Wow amazing how you got all that info...
I am downloading the probe utility...
Any special info you want on it?
I can leave it running but the computer will go down...
i am just waiting for the download.
thanks a lot everyone.

Ok done it... On the monitor summary there are letters blinking saying CPU temperature overheated... so it seems like it is overheating right?
what shall i do if this is correct!

Power fan and chassis fan are below treshold.

Really curious about the CPU and Mobo temp... like to see what that climbs to on your system. It's an easy motherboard to overclock and actually mine over clocked itself (I have an ASUS nForce3 250g)... Mine being overclock and running the same util you are downloading the CPU is at 46c/113F and the mobo is 34c/93F. When my old nForce2 was having issues it was running 130F and shutting itself off.

Also whilst there note the Voltages and Fan Speeds probably wont see powersupply fan but if chassis or cpu is low or 0 than we got problems.

You can see everything by clicking on the monitoring tab and then click monitor summary icon.

ED: is your computer made by Fujitsu-Siemens? Just curious as that seems to be the major distributor outside the US...(another sister company of the one I work for)

I really don't think so...
But is there a solution for the computer stop closing by it's self? the temp is going up at the moment CPU temp is at 101C/214F, The graffic for the temp is already on the red thing is this normal?

Chassis is at 0 and power fan to.

Way too hot...the motherboard is protecting your cpu by shuting it off...

On that same screen you should see +12v +5v +3.3v do they say ok in the right column? If the +5v does not, both fans would not work and that is a sign the powersupply is malfuntioning...

But it comes up and runs until the CPU overheats I think you need to get a new cpu fan...Or if you have been inside the computer recently it is possible to knock off or unplug that little connector that plugs to the mobo to provide power to the fan.

Any case I would not try to do too much work with the computer until you straighten that out...pop the side off and get yourself a strong fan to blow in directly on the mobo and it will cool it and may keep it running for a bit... but don't mess around too much as you have a +3000 maybe a +3400 AMD (that seem to be what they like to put on that mobo) and them cost a ton of money still...don't fry your processor...

ED: No it is not normal to go past the red line...you don't even want to be close to it.

Yap they say ok...
i haven't been in the cpu, since it is still sealed...
So your suggestion is to buy a new fan or open the cpu and see if the fans are well connected?

I would check them both but beings how the CPU is so hot I suspect the CPU fan.

Should be just two wires (black and red (normally)) and the plugs go on only one way for each of the fans.

If you take the side off and both are plugged in...turn it on to see if the one on the CPU is spinning or making bad sounds.

De Nada... Hope it helps, do you have a parts store near by?

In case you have to get a fan...they are about 30 bucks here...

Yes i have a store near by but not sure with fan to get... Get the same fan as i have on the cpu right?

They probably won't have the same exact fan so you will need to tell them you have an AMD64 Socket 754 +3000 (or whatever speed you have) and they will be able to give you a match or it will say on the package "Rated for Socket 754 AMD64..." and those will work.
