Shooting fireworks? I know I'll need my tripod, but other than that I'm not really sure where to begin...

leave the shutter open for about 5 seconds at a time, i usually do that simply because whenyou take a 30 second or longer exposure it takes FOREVER to process the image, 5 seconds doesnt take long. try using the F/8 area

Remote may help. If you don't or can't use one try the timer.

Wow. Once again I am overwhelmed at the quick response!

So basically on my camera I need to shoot in shutter priority mode for as long as I can get it to go (or close to it)? I don't think mine will do 5 sec... I think 1/2 sec is as long as it will do.
>sigh< Someday I will get the $$ for a DSLR. Someday.
