Bah! Hoped I'd improve on my last score with this one. Perhaps once I've got some comments I'll have some idea what I've done wrong!

Finally got an idea for this yesterday. Got everything ready. Would shoot it in the late evening, then submit...no problem.
7:00 PM Just after dinner - Power blackout.
2:00 AM or so (was asleep with nothing to do) power finally returns.
Argh. I see no one used my idea (not earth shattering), so I may still shoot it. That completes the month of June without ANY submissions. Argh. |

Each author sees his own scores on the Main DP page during voting. Note: Only the average score - individual scores are not visble until voting ends.

I'm seeing a number of images of objects that are old, but not necessarily "Obsolete". I have not penalized in my scoring, but have noticed this.

It could be old technology, broken, discarded, outgrown, forgotten
I take Obsolete FIRST and then these from the description second. The next word in the description is -anything. Some entrants seem to have focused on that word first...and are being scored accordingly.
I am trying to comment on as many as i can...452 is a lot, but that means fewer comments per entry.
As for my entry...I want to beat my average of 5.008. I am 5.000 right now..finally hitting 5! My Lines entry climbed about .5 over teh first 24 hours...hopefully this one will to.

| I have to say, there do seem to be quite a few images that don't say "obselete" to me... I can't quite follow why some were even entered in this challange to be honest. Some of them are damn fine photos, but if they don't say obselete I'm marking them down... |

| hahahaha forgot to take down my entry (actually I wasn't home to do it) because it definetly doesn't meet the challenge...so now I've got my lowest score ever. Meh. 3 is a nice round number afterall. |

Wow, this is the best I've ever started out. And my scores has been going up!?!?!? That's never happened before, usually starts ok then drops. Maybe I have finally appealed to the masses.

| Wow at 4.8 lowest score in a long time. I thought it was obvious from the photo that my item was obsolete, but some must not think so. Oh well back to the drawing board. |
