I took this picture the other day. I was goofing around with the macro challenge entry. I just grabed a few objects to see how they looked close up. After I saw it on the screen I wish I would have tried it for the metal challenge. Anyone else have any opinions?

I think this photo is well taken. I find that I wish the background were a little whiter to offset your subject a little more - but it's not at all bad the way it is. Your composition gives it a stock photo look and feel, which again isn't bad if that's what you were aiming for. Having that stock photo appeal is the same as saying, 'I could see this in an advertisement somewhere'. :-)

Thanks. I have noticed the same thing about the stock photo look. I have mainly been a landscape photographer. But, lately the photos I take for the challenges do come out like stock photos.
