landscape?
I'm asking because I wanna enter it into the Canon Rebel photo contest.

I think you could call it a landscape. But in a contest you'll likely be competing against more "in the box" landscape shots, so your chances depend will on the judges approach to the definition of landscape.

Landscape, seascape, sunset, silhouette... Yeah. :-)
Lovely image with some awesome colors!
Only one recommendation: Turn down the USM just a bit - especially around the tree. The easiest way to sharpen most of the picture but "back out" the unwanted USM is use the history brush and paint back (at just 10% opacity) the areas that show too much haloing. Just gently go over a few times until you get it to where you want it (sharp, but without obvious halos).

Next question, what is a 'baseline' jpeg? I'm assuming that they need the exif info to prove it came from a dRebel...
