Can anyone tell me whether or not the Canon 550EX flash will work on a Canon 350XT camera?
While you're at it, has there been any firmware updates for the XT yet?

That's good! I read the review on dpreview.com, and it said, "The EOS 350D's hot-shoe can be used with Canon and third party flashes (although sync only on most third party units). The hot-shoe is E-TTL II compatible. Compatible flashes include Speedlite 220EX, 380EX, 420EX, 580EX, Macro-Ring Lite, MR-14EX, Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX and Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2." Note, no mention of the 550EX.

they never mention items that has been replaced, when the stock of 550EX run out then it will be marked as out of production, the 580EX is the replacement :)
the 10D is never mentioned anymore, just like the D30, D60, 1D, 1Ds and soon 300D :)
