I was curious as to whether there was anyone here who knew anything about insect eggs.



These are all over the plants across the street from my home. I wondered what kind of insect leaves something like this. They look like little soap bubbles. They're kind of rubbery, too. If you move on of the plant stems, they expand/contract. I thought they were neat looking and took a bunch of pictures.

Spittle bugs - seriously. Not eggs either it is this liquid they secrete and make it all bubbly and they hide in it.

Thank you for the quick reply. I knew if I asked here someone would know. Now that I have a name I can look them up. Thanks for the website, BTW. It was very interesting!

Can't remember what we called this stuff, but when I was a kid (and I'm sure it's still there) the path we took to catch the bus to school used to be full of it. I used to edge through sideways to minimize how much of the 'spit' I got on my legs ..ewwwww
